Spring Budgeting

  • David C. isn't here, so all we can do is hope he submitted our budget

Promoting and Preparing for the LAN Party, cont.

  • an op-ed talking about the copyright troubles a LAN party can entail
  • a series of progressively less cryptic posters
  • an FC.o birthday cake from Sharples
  • Lisa will be headed to SAC to get $150 for food

Open Access

  • Luke contacted second potential speaker, also unavailable, moving on to third
  • Lisa has e-mailed Peggy Seiden, no response yet
  • Peggy was going to take Budapest Initiative matter to library committee
    • if we can't get Swarthmore College to sign on, maybe the Trico Libraries will
  • We don't want this to be anonymous or unknown, or to take anyone by surprise
  • We also recognize that we won't make much progress in the balance of the semester

National FC.o Organization

  • much talk about what freeculture.org has been/could be/should be doing, and how we interface with it
  • set up a rotation of FCS people besides Nelson to join weekly conference call?
    • Alex will join in this week, tomorrow at 10:45
    • conference call number is 413.200.7075 - ask Nelson for the access code
  • Nelson also wants people to blog
