What to do next semester?
- Luke dropped the ball on Cooper Grant for DJ Spooky - deadlines have passed
- Continue to pursue Open Access
- slow-moving, not very time-consuming
- Push for Free licensing and archive.org sharing of Swat-made content
- build support for a media server
- begin drafting a proposal for SBC funding for server parts
- server would require a maintainer. might Jeff Kaufman like this job?
- International Student Summit
- bring people from lots of FC chapters to Swarthmore
- Speakers? Debate? Self-organizing discussion?
How to kick off the first week
- Nelson will be back at Swat early
- David G will ask scdc-core members to post about their return plans
- Pre-Meeting (tentatively Saturday, Aug. 27, 3pm)
- organize goodies for activities fair, believed to be Sunday pm

- Knoppix, OpenCD

Web presence
- Alex Benn was interested in Web design, unfortunately not on the call
- Ben is willing to do web design also
- Content is required
- David G will draft an "about" page
- Nelson will draft a "history" page
- Ben will cover a "contact" page
- deadline for content: two weeks from today
- blog needs to be fixed, spam killed
- bothersome issues with implementing our own blog on SCCS servers
- perhaps easiest to go back to embedded LiveJournal?
