Media Server

• Erek was assigned to this... he is not present
• Has any progress been made?
  • probably not
• Eric A. is interested in building/supplying a machine
  • We will make a meeting with SCCS to get money - Luke and Eric A. will talk
• We have someone at Lang who would be interested in helping us

Library Bookshelf

• We have permission to put anything we want on a CC bookshelf in the library
• We still need to build the book list - everyone should add to it

Speaker

• We need an honorarium!
  • talk to Forum for Free Speech
  • talk to Eldridge
  • Luke will look into finding out when FFS meets
• People will talk to econ professors about sponsoring our speaker

Discovery Weekend

• We have been promised space as long as we have the event details
  • time, description, room, etc.
  • we are probably going to do "The Nelson Show" with revisions - revisions should be discussed with Nelson himself

James Michener

• Meeting didn't happen - Nelson hadn't scheduled it yet

OpenAccess

• What should we do?
  • Letter of support
• The library used to be excited about doing this, interest seems to have waned
• Meeting has been scheduled for 9/20 - Nelson, Rebecca are working on it
• Ben will look into finding the draft for the survey about OpenAccess, perhaps look into revitalizing it
  • Library still wants results of a survey

Anime Club

• Should we sponsor a fansubbing event?
  • we have no immediate contacts, although Ben knows the president

Dinner Meetings

• Days that are bad: Mondays, Thursdays
• Wednesdays are good, 5:30 PM
• If someone has a topic, they can lead discussion
• 9/21: Piracy! (Talk Like a Pirate Day is 9/19)

Propaganda

• Ben, Meggie, Eric L. will work on propping the upcoming dinner meeting

Free Culture Conference

• Bring Free Culture people together
• Can/should we do it? Where will we get funding?
• It would be a good thing to do - get everyone into one room together, face-to-face

Party?

• We should do a party
  • Do it at a better place than ML
• Conventional Paces party? Alcohol? Illegal music? Pirates?
• Luke will go to a SAC meeting and work on getting funding
  • Lauren, Eric L. will tag along

Bar

• Good place to get word out about Free Culture
• People put lots of stickers, stories, random stuff up on walls
• Downtown, on South Street - take SEPTA & walk
